Please read the following important information about custom ordering fabric items!
Custom orders and fabric yardage are not returnable unless defective in some way or damaged in shipping, so please be sure of your measurements when ordering anything custom made. We have helpful instructions for measuring for appliance covers on our how-to-measure page. Also, orders for custom sewing cannot be cancelled once we have begun work on the items!
Before you order, here are a few details that you should understand about fabric. First and foremost, it's soft and pliable and has some "give" to it, and it reacts to water and heat (from washing, drying, and ironing) so due to the very nature of fabric it is not possible to get absolutely precise measurements. Our fabrics are mostly 100% cotton (with a few that are poly/cotton blends), so you can expect a little bit of shrinkage. How much will depend on how you care for them. Greater heat (especially in the dryer) will cause more shrinkage. (Click here to read more about this. You may also want to read our laundering instructions page.)
So if you need an item where an exact measurement is essential, fabric is probably not the best way to go!

We are often asked if we can make items using fabric that our customers send us. The answer is yes, except that we will not work with knits, or slippery or sheer fabrics. The reason is that it is difficult to get good results for our items, using those types of fabric. We want you to be pleased with the finished product! How much fabric will you need? That depends on what item(s) you need, and how many. A few basic yardage requirements can be found here.
