Draft Stopper
Our standard draft-stopper is sized to fit a 36" door. Shown below, in blue pindot fabric.
What's so special about our draft-stoppers? For starters, they're hefty - with over four pounds of filling, they can be pushed tightly into place against your door (or window sill), and they will stay put. Because there is a layer of vinyl behind the fabric, you can spot clean the outside of the draftstopper. Plus, the layer of vinyl helps to keep the filler dry - an important consideration if you have melting snow or other wetness to contend with.
Sorry, these are not reversible, so you will have to choose your one favorite fabric,
and we will do the custom sewing to create your draft stopper.

If you need a special size, you may order one in any (whole-inch) size up to 52" in length.
Pricing on custom draftstoppers is as follows:
up to 36" - $18.00
37" to 42" - $20.50
43" to 48" - $23.00
49" to 52" - $25.00
When ordering custom draftstoppers, please use the "special requests" box in the shopping cart to specify the length you need and your fabric choice (from our online fabric gallery).
The draftstoppers work best when the drafty "gap" you want to cover is no more than 1 1/2" up from the floor or windowsill. If your gap is higher, you can stack two draftstoppers on top of each other to do the job.
Whatever you call them, draftstoppers, draft dodgers, draft catchers, "door snakes" ... they really do help to keep the cold winds at bay!
You may find other uses for them, too... we had one customer who placed them at the base of his vertical blinds to stop the noisy vibration they made when the ceiling fan was on.
